Mirka® has a complete unique solution for sanding of several types of glasses. The easy step by step process invented by Mirka® is easy to follow the whole way from cleaning to sanding and polishing. The process is not recommended to be used on car front windshields because of the risk of optical refraction.
Mirka's® sanding and polishing solution for refurbishment of glass can be used within many business areas, e.g. architectural, automotive and marine as well as for many different glass surfaces such as building facades, interior doors and stairs as well as yacht, train or other vehicle windows.
Mirka's® Glass Sanding Solution - End-user recommendations:
- Take sufficient time over each sanding step; it is all about giving each step the time it needs.
- The fewer steps it takes to get the job done, the better. Otherwise there is a risk of optical refraction.
- The polishing step takes longer than the sanding steps.
- We do not recommend that this process is used on car front windshields because of the risk of optical refraction.
- Always use a dust protection mask. Please check local legislation about concentrations known to be hazardous.
